At Alfagreen Supreme, we take pride in our rigid processing method that results in premier alfalfa products. Our field to feed process begins in the flowering stage when the alfalfa crop is cut early to ensure highly-quality forage and retention of nutrients to adequately supplement your finished feed for the wellness of America’s animals and specialty pets. Upon cutting the alfalfa it is then chopped and promptly delivered to one of our multiple processing plants. Here, it is dehydrated, and processed into pellets for storage preservation and ultimately shipped as a pellet or value added meal process shipment. This rapid drying process preserves the nutrients in the alfalfa and reduces the solubility of protein. After processing, the pellets are cooled and transferred to large storage bins where additional aeration takes place. Protein, fiber, moisture and temperature monitoring is constantly conducted to guarantee consistent quality. Laboratory analysis is conducted through out the processing, storage and shipment phases to ensure that customer product quality specifications are met. Our alfalfa products are prepared to meet your specifications in truckload, railcar and barge-load quantities.
